Andrey Borodin’s Park Place won the President’s Trophy on the Duke’s Ground at the first time of asking. They defeated Mad Dogs 8-7 in a close game to conclude this 10-goal tournament.
Park Place began strongly and were 3-0 up after the first chukka. With a goal from both sides in the second the half-time score was reading 4-1.
Park Place continued firing through goals in the third – three for the blue shirts to only two from the Mad Dogs. However Alan Fall’s team can never been discounted and they came out firing in the final chukka to score four goals.
However time was against them and with Park Place still finding the flags once more it was enough to secure victory.
Life playing member Eddy Arida presented the prizes including the Most Valuable Player and Best Playing Pony prizes.
The sub final was a more open affair. Jonathan Munro Ford’s Black Eagles overcame Elio Leoni Sceti’s Il Sole 9-51/2.
